Cerenome has entered a financing agreement with 3i, LP (“3i Fund”) for a senior secured facility of up to $20 million with royalty-based repayments. The Houston company, listed on Nasdaq as CNSY, received an initial tranche at closing, with further draws available on milestones.
Cerenome is a CNS oncology company combining precision diagnostics, targeted therapeutics and artificial intelligence. Proceeds are intended to support commercial scale-up of laboratory-developed tests, in particular the CNSide cerebrospinal fluid assay platform used to detect and monitor metastatic tumour cells in the central nervous system.
Andrew Sims, Chief Financial Officer of Cerenome, said the facility is designed to be minimally dilutive while supporting the next stage of CNSide commercial scale-up, including sales growth and pipeline expansion. He said the company forecasts cash runway into 2028 when combining the 3i facility, other existing facilities, cash and forecast CNSide-related sales.
Additional transaction details are to be filed in a Current Report on Form 8-K with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
