Viola Credit has provided Otrium with €15 million of growth debt. The Amsterdam company will use the capital to accelerate growth across Europe, add brands and improve the customer experience.

Otrium is an off-price fashion marketplace that sells excess stock from brands.

Frank van Valderen, Chief Executive of Otrium, said: "This financing gives us the firepower to accelerate our profitable growth across Europe and bring more iconic brands and a better experience to our customers."

Shane Barry-Lyons of Viola Credit's European office said: "We're excited to partner with the Otrium team through this growth debt facility. Our investment reflects the strong conviction we have in their vision, their execution, and Otrium's leadership in transforming off-price fashion through technology."

Van Valderen told Quotenet that the €15 million was a loan and that all shareholders, including Adriaan Mol, stood behind the decision. He said the company would use the money to grow faster and that the plan is to reach profitability in 2027.

Revenue rose 12 per cent last year to €43 million and the Ebitda loss narrowed to €4 million. Van Valderen said losses had been cut by 85 per cent from €30 million in 2023. Otrium has concentrated on Europe, and he pointed to growth in France, Scandinavia and Italy.

Viola Credit is a global alternative credit manager with $4 billion of assets under management. It has offices in New York, London and Tel Aviv and said it had completed more than $3 billion of transactions. The firm opened its London office in 2023.

In November 2025 Viola announced a first close on a Growth Lending fund targeted at €300 million, with the British Business Bank and the European Investment Fund leading a mix of new and existing limited partners. Viola said it had deployed more than €450 million to European technology companies over the previous four years and that the new fund is intended to back up to 50 sponsor-backed companies in Western Europe and the UK.

Otrium was founded by Milan Daniels and Max Klijnstra. In December 2023 it announced a €16.6 million equity investment from existing investors, co-led by Index Ventures, BOND Capital and Eight Roads, which also led the company's Series C. It also said it would concentrate on Europe and transition its US business to Rue Gilt Groupe.
