Claret Capital Partners has backed Dublin-based EdgeTier through an investment from Fund IV. The London firm announced the financing on 18 August 2026.

The size of the facility was not disclosed.

Shane Lynn, chief executive of EdgeTier, said the capital would go towards "investing in our agentic AI platform and expanding our footprint with the world's leading customer support teams."

EdgeTier develops conversation-analysis software for contact centres.

The company was founded in 2017 by Lynn, Bart Lehane and Ciarán Tobin and has more than 70 staff. It said it serves more than 50 customers in Europe and the US.

Emma Jones, senior investment analyst at Claret, said the firm would support EdgeTier through the next stage of its growth.

The financing adds Claret to an investor group that includes Smedvig Capital, ACT Venture Capital and Episode 1. EdgeTier raised a €6 million Series A led by Smedvig Capital in June 2023, with Episode 1 and ACT Venture Capital participating. At that raise the company said it would grow its team by 50 across Irish and Spanish bases, from a then headcount of 22.

In July 2019 EdgeTier raised €1.5 million of seed funding led by Episode 1, with ACT Venture Capital and Enterprise Ireland participating.

Fund IV, known as CEGCF IV, reached a second close of more than €350 million in September 2025, taking Claret's assets under management above $1 billion. Alongside the fund, Claret raised more than €115 million in discretionary co-investment partnerships with Fund IV limited partners. A final close is expected in 2026.

Limited partners in the second close included the European Investment Fund, under the InvestEU programme, the British Business Bank, the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, KfW Capital, Banca March and Wachstumsfonds Deutschland.

Claret is a London-based growth-debt manager and has provided growth debt to European companies since 2013. In July 2026 it said the Claret funds had deployed more than €1.5 billion across more than 200 companies in technology, life sciences and impact. Fund IV remains in deployment. Between March and the September 2025 second close, Claret said it had added 12 companies to the vehicle.
