Trinity Capital (Nasdaq: TRIN) has committed up to $35 million of equipment financing to Torus, with the Phoenix firm announcing the facility on 30 April 2026.

Trinity said the equipment financing will help Torus, a Salt Lake City energy technology company that designs and manufactures distributed mesh energy infrastructure, expand manufacturing capacity and scale production at its new GigaOne manufacturing and assembly facility.

Ryan Little, Senior Managing Director, Equipment Finance at Trinity, said Torus is looking to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in energy infrastructure, bringing grid-scale performance closer to where it is needed most. "We're proud to help support their GigaOne build out as they look to scale production to meet growing demand," he said.

Dillon Pierson, Chief Financial Officer at Torus, said the company's customers are scaling fast and need an energy infrastructure partner who can scale with them. "Trinity Capital's support allows us to continue to expand GigaOne and meet the demand to deliver American-made energy systems to the utilities, data centers, and commercial and industrial operators counting on us," he said.

Trinity is an alternative asset manager headquartered in Phoenix, with its team located across the United States and Europe. As of 31 December 2025 it had deployed more than $5.5 billion across over 463 investments since 2008. In 2025 the firm funded $1.5 billion of investments, including $303 million of equipment financings, and originated $2.1 billion of new commitments, of which $429 million were equipment financings. At the year end its investment portfolio had a fair value of about $2.4 billion across 176 portfolio companies, including $336.8 million of equipment financings, and platform assets under management stood at $2.8 billion.

The Trinity facility follows a $200 million investment in Torus by Magnetar, announced on 9 September 2025, a small portion of which Magnetar said would support the GigaOne build-out. On 3 April 2024 Torus completed a $67 million financing of new equity, conversion of outstanding notes and a loan facility, led by Origin Ventures, which described the package as a Series A, with Epic Ventures, Cumming Capital, the Larry H. Miller Company, Zions Bank, Pelion and ICONIQ also participating.
