Swedbank has agreed a new growth credit facility of up to SEK 80 million ($8m USD / €6m EUR) for AAC Clyde Space AB, the Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market-listed small-satellite and space-data company.

AAC Clyde Space said the facility provides further financing capacity to support continued growth and accelerate selected investments. The company said the credit facility will be available for drawdown during 2027 on market terms, with repayment to begin in Q1 2028 and take place over three years.

Proceeds are intended to help AAC Clyde Space bring forward selected investments, add further satellite capacity, expand capabilities and services in its Data & Services business, and pursue new growth opportunities.

Headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden, AAC Clyde Space provides small satellite technologies and services that help governments, businesses and institutions access high-quality data from space. Its activities include components, mission services and space-based data delivery, with applications across weather monitoring, maritime safety, security and defence, agriculture and forestry.

The group also has operations in the UK, the Netherlands, South Africa and the USA. In the first half of 2026, AAC Clyde Space launched two new satellites, taking its constellation to ten, with four more satellites in production for launch next year. The company has more than two decades of experience in space-based maritime data, operational satellite constellations and established customers.

Luis Gomes, CEO of AAC Clyde Space, said: "We see growing demand for space-based data and intelligence in areas where AAC Clyde Space has spent years building both technology and market position. We already have customers and services in operation, while significantly more capacity and new capabilities are being added. The Swedbank facility gives us the option to move faster and expand further where we see strong commercial opportunities."

The Swedbank credit follows AAC Clyde Space’s strategic investment from Bonnier Capital, announced in December 2025 and completed in 2026. That financing comprised a directed share issue of around SEK 100 million across two tranches, plus warrants that could provide about SEK 40 million, giving the package a potential size of up to SEK 140 million. Bonnier became the company’s largest shareholder, with proceeds earmarked for expanding satellite capacity for maritime data services and funding the INFLECION maritime-intelligence programme.
