SEB Bankas, through its SEB Baltic Venture Debt programme, has provided a €1 million venture debt facility to Repsense, a Lithuanian artificial intelligence startup.
The deal was announced on 24 September 2026. SEB said it is the bank’s first such venture debt transaction in Lithuania and the first venture debt financing in the country provided by a local bank.
Repsense said the financing will be used to grow its analyst team, strengthen sales in foreign markets and continue developing its narrative analytics platform, including forecasting capabilities. The company said the debt supplements its ongoing capital raise and strengthens its financial reserve for the next stage of growth.
SEB Baltic Venture Debt is SEB’s Baltic programme for debt investments in high-growth companies. Eglė Dovbyšienė, SEB Management Board member and Head of Retail Banking, said the transaction opens a new financing option for innovative, fast-growing companies in Lithuania and gives companies more flexibility in combining equity and borrowed capital.
Liudvikas Andriulis, Repsense co-founder and Head of Growth, said SEB’s financing confirmed the company’s growth is supported by solid financial foundations and described the bank’s move into venture debt as a positive signal for the sector.
Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Vilnius, Repsense develops AI-driven narrative intelligence tools for media analysis, security and strategic communications in Lithuania and international markets.
The venture debt follows Repsense’s €2 million seed round in December 2025, backed by Seed Starter ČS, a fund of Česká spořitelna, and Tensor Ventures.
