Announced

Riverside Acceleration Capital, part of The Riverside Company, has invested in Soter, a US and UK workplace safety and loss prevention software company.

Riverside Acceleration Capital (RAC) is known to provide both growth loans and growth equity to B2B software companies.

Senior Partner Christian Stein described the Soter transaction as an investment but did not specify if the capital is pure debt or a combination, and the size was not disclosed.

However Companies House charges created on 2 July 2026 in favour of Riverside Acceleration Capital Fund III, L.P., over Soter Analytics Ltd and Soter Analytics International Ltd, show that the financing includes debt.

Soter, led by Co-Founder and Chief Executive Matthew Hart, sells SoterAI, a platform used by environment, health and safety teams and by insurance loss-control and underwriting teams. The company says SoterAI covers more than 30 guided workflows spanning hazard identification, incident investigation, site audits and regulatory monitoring, is used by more than 500 companies, is trained on more than 20 million safety data points and holds SOC 2 Type II certification.

Soter Analytics Ltd still has a separate outstanding charge in favour of HSBC Innovation Banking, created on 3 December 2025, which is not part of this announcement. Earlier Silicon Valley Bank UK Limited charges on the two Soter companies were satisfied in October 2025 and, on Soter Analytics International Ltd, on 29 June 2026.

The Riverside Company closed Riverside Acceleration Capital Growth Lending Fund III, a growth-lending vehicle, at a $200 million hard cap in February 2026, after RAC Growth Lending II held a $177 million final close in July 2019. At that third-fund close Riverside said the vehicle was more than 20 per cent deployed across 18 investments.
