Orbit Capital has provided up to €6m of venture debt to Coding Giants, a Polish education platform teaching coding, AI and maths to 6 to 19-year-olds. The company plans to use the funding primarily to scale in the US and Mexico, as well as to expand further in Spain, through a mix of organic growth and acquisitions.
Founded in Poland eight years ago, Coding Giants operates across 13 markets in Europe and the Americas. More than 130,000 students have taken part in its classes, which are supported by nearly a thousand educators and technology professionals.
Chief executive and co-founder Radosław Kulesza said: "The financing from Orbit Capital will allow us to move faster on the opportunities we see, particularly in Spain and across the Americas." The business generates about $15m in annual recurring revenue, according to Kulesza, and already has an office in Mexico.
Wiktor Namysł, partner at Orbit Capital, said: "Coding Giants has reached a stage where venture debt can be particularly effective: the company has a proven business model, generates meaningful revenue and has already demonstrated its ability to operate internationally."
Coding Giants raised €3.5m in March 2023 from PortfoLion, which led the round, and Nunatak Capital. In December 2024 it closed an €8.5m round led by True Global Ventures, with follow-on participation from PortfoLion, taking its total funding to more than €12m, according to Tech.eu.
Orbit Capital is based in Prague and Warsaw and manages more than €200m across venture debt and growth equity vehicles. In July, the firm reached a €107m second close for Growth Debt Fund II, above its €100m target. In September, Orbit provided venture debt to London-based laundry software company CleanCloud to support its acquisition of Australian payments business Tangerpay, in the first deal completed by Danube Flow.
