OAREX, a US provider of capital solutions to the digital media ecosystem, has provided a £4m financing facility to Multilocal, the companies said on 1 October 2026. Multilocal will use the funding to accelerate international expansion, invest in product development and pursue potential acquisitions.
“OAREX understands both our ambitions and the digital advertising ecosystem we operate in, which makes them a natural partner for us,” said James Leaver, Co-founder and Chief Executive of Multilocal.
Multilocal is a London-based audience curation company in programmatic advertising, helping brands and agencies access programmatic inventory across international markets. The company was founded in 2019 by former Microsoft executives James Leaver and Robin Bootle, and its curation engine is called cureon.
The facility is OAREX’s ADVANCE product, which the lender describes as a receivables purchase facility for growing businesses. The release says Multilocal’s receivables are the underlying asset collateralising the facility, allowing the company to access non-dilutive capital structured around revenue.
In a receivables facility, a lender typically advances cash against invoices that have been issued but not yet paid, and is repaid as those invoices are settled. That can support growth without the company giving up equity or control.
Companies House filings show a charge in favour of OAREX Funding over Multilocal Media's assets was created on 22 May 2026, and a 2023 charge held by HSBC UK Bank was marked satisfied on 2 June. Term and pricing were not disclosed.
