Gilion has provided Stasher with £2m in growth financing, giving the luggage storage marketplace non-dilutive capital to expand its network and accelerate dedicated smart lockers across the UK and Europe.
Trade reports from Tech.eu and UKTN framed the financing as part of a wider package of about £3m, including a separate £1m strategic investment from smart locker provider Hive Box.
Founded in London in 2015 by CEO Jacob Wedderburn-Day and Anthony Collias, Stasher connects travellers with hotels and local businesses that have secure storage space. Ten years in, the company says its network spans more than 10,000 locations across more than 1,200 cities.
Proceeds are earmarked for more marketplace locations, increased marketing and a faster smart locker rollout. Under the Hive Box partnership, Stasher is set to receive an initial 100 smart lockers for deployment across the UK and Europe by mid-2027, with Hive Box supplying the lockers and related hardware and IoT technology integrated with Stasher’s booking platform.
Companies House filings for CityStasher Limited show an outstanding charge in favour of Gilion Credit I AB, created on 14 September 2026 and registered on 18 September.
Gilion is a Swedish growth lender whose UK products include its Growth Loan and Seasonal Credit facilities.
"Stasher is a clear leader in its market, growing fast while keeping customer acquisition costs low in a very attractive segment," said Fredrik Johansson, investment director at Gilion. "We're impressed by the founders and how disciplined they've been in scaling the company. We're excited to back Stasher as it grows further and cements its position in the global luggage storage space."
"We've spent the last ten years building Stasher into a global network, and this funding gives us the firepower to accelerate the next stage of growth," said Wedderburn-Day.
