Medincell, the Montpellier, France-based biopharmaceutical company listed on Euronext Paris, has obtained an additional €13.8m in non-dilutive financing from leading European commercial banks and Bpifrance, it said on 13 October 2026.
The new loan follows €28m of non-dilutive bank loans announced in July 2026, bringing the total non-dilutive financing obtained since July 2026 to €41.8m. The company said the financing was agreed on market terms and includes no equity-linked instruments, so there is no dilution for existing shareholders. The amounts provided by each lender, maturity and pricing of the new loan were not disclosed.
Medincell develops and licenses long-acting injectable treatments. Its BEPO technology is licensed to Teva, which markets risperidone LAI in the US as UZEDY. Olanzapine LAI received FDA approval in October 2026 and is due to be marketed in the US by Teva as WELTRUZA. It has more than 150 employees.
In July 2026, Medincell said it had obtained €28m of loans from four European commercial banks, with a five-year maturity, monthly or quarterly amortisation of principal, interest in line with market conditions and no covenants or equity-linked instruments. At the same time it repaid early the first €20m tranche of its €40m European Investment Bank credit facility, agreed in 2022, together with capitalised interest, for a total of €23.2m repaid in July 2026. The remaining €20m of EIB debt moved to €200,000 monthly principal repayments with 5% cash interest and a final €17.5m repayment in July 2028.
Medincell said in July the transactions were intended to align its debt maturity with expected revenue from UZEDY and olanzapine LAI. In October, it said it had extended its debt maturity to September 2031.
Medincell reported €84.8m of cash and cash equivalents at 31 March 2026.
